Company Biographies
Joyce Branagh (director) was a director on the London and Dublin fringe with productions ranging from Hamlet to I Don't Sweat Much For a Fat Lass before the Orange Tree Theatre in Richmond, where she assisted Sam Walters. After directing a new comedy, This Cookie May Contain Nuts by Tracy Hitchen, Joyce recently became the Assistant Director at the Bristol Old Vic as part of the Channel 4 Young Directors’ Scheme.
Noni Lewis (Diane) has been performing new work with Bristol Experimental Theatre Company, Bristol Old Vic Basement, and HTV / TAPS, since her arrival last year. Previous experience includes tours with Cwmni Theatr Arad Goch, Crag Rats and Impact Theatre Companies. TV and film credits include A Mind to Kill, Oliver's Travels, and POV.
Paul Mohan (Dean) is a Bristolian and has just recorded the radio play Goodnight Irene by Lucy Catherine and played Richard in Richard III in the New Vic. Also for Bristol Old Vic, Ray in Up the Feeder, The Citizen in An Enemy of the People, and Mr D in Last Orders for Love. Other theatre credits include Duke in Gringos for Lifetime Theatre, Macbeth in Macbeth, Mephistopheles in Doctor Faustus, and Arnold in Torch Song Trilogy. He was also Massimo in Here is Monster for Theatre West's tour of Latvia and Murillo in Show of Strength's Key Largo. Film and TV includes Without Motive, Teachers, Trapped, Elizabeth, Casualty, Skip Life and Back to Base.
Kris Nuttall (lighting design) has lit a wide range of shows from operas to raves (often on the same day). Credits include Dido and Aeneas, King Arthur and Into the Woods (for Bath University Students Opera), Cabaret, Gasping and Animal Farm (for Bath University Students Theatre) and Bacon Sandwich (for cpa@uwe). Work with Opera Mint includes La Bohème, Turn of the Screw and Hansel and Gretel. Kris also works at Bath University as a lighting director and teacher.
Dan Winter (Tea Leaf) has just graduated with a UWE diploma from the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. His last BOVTS show was Oh What a Lovely War! in the New Vic. He is from the South East and spent four years on attachments with the army. Since graduating he has appeared in a couple of short films in London and worked on the HTV documentary The Great Escape.
Jess Wright (designer) graduated in design from Bristol Old Vic Theatre School this year. Her credits include design for Pericles and Laughing Wild in the New Vic Studio and costume for Pride and Prejudice and Oh What a Lovely War! in the Theatre Royal. Jess designed the set and costumes for Bacon Sandwich at the Alma Tavern in May.
